DoubleTree Hotel - 1000 NE Multnomah St is just a couple blocks away from the Saturday Rally, and is the location for our Saturday afternoon COINvention. We have a limited block of rooms at the group rate of $169 for rooms with two queen beds.
McMenamins Kennedy School Hotel - 5736 NE 33rd Ave is the site of our Saturday evening social event and is less than a mile from the Saturday Rally and the Doubletree Hotel activities.
There are a number of other hotels in this area known as the "Lloyd District" or "Convention Center District," many of which are within a mile or two of the Rally location and Doubletree Hotel. These hotels ranged in price from $89 - $189 for October 1 on Booking.com, and you may very well be able to find better prices on other internet booking sites.
We have had a couple offers from Indivsibles in the Portland area who have volunteered to host one or two people from out of town. Please email COINLeadership@gmail.com for more information.
Also, the Rally location and Doubletree Hotel are right on the MAX line, so it might also be possible to book a hotel farther from the downtown area and ride the light rail to our COIN events.
AND...don't forget that you may be able to submit lodging and other expenses for reimbursement through Indivisible's IndivisiGather program. Contact your group leader to coordinate for this.

NON-AFFILIATED VOTER OUTREACH IN CD-5
SUNDAY FROM NOON - 3 PM
As a fitting finale to our COINvention, please join us to canvass or write postcards for COIN's Non-Affiliated Voter (NAV) Outreach Project. Leah Greenberg will be on hand to give us an inspirational send-off, after which folks can choose to knock some doors or write postcards to NAVs likely to vote for progressive candidates. We've had many great conversations with voters through this project and it will be our last NAV canvass before we start GOTV efforts leading up to Election Day. Click here to register for this event. The meet-up locations will be sent to you after you sign up.
Check out our latest COINversations! On Tuesday, August 23, COIN was honored to be joined at our meeting by two of our endorsed candidates, Tina Kotek, Democratic candidate for Governor, and Christina Stephenson, Democratic candidate for Oregon Labor Commissioner. If you missed the meeting, please do watch the videos so you can see why COIN is so pleased to endorse both of these extremely qualified, outstanding candidates.
COIN - The Consolidated Oregon Indivisible Network
We are part of Indivisible, a nationwide movement of thousands of volunteer-led local groups that engage in progressive advocacy and electoral work at the local, state, and national level.
Form your own group or join a group near you.
Thank you health care workers!
Indivisible activists know the work that starts in our homes and communities is just as important as the work that goes on inside the government. Whether we're gathering in homes or by zoom, organizing rallies, sign waving from bridges, phone banking, post carding, meeting with elected leaders, working on legislation, or even running for office, our members put in the time because democracy matters.
"This is about the fight for the soul of our democracy." Elijah Cummings
