Inviting people throughout Douglas County to join together to protect basic human rights regardless of racial, sexual, cultural, or citizenship status and protect our environment to ensure clean air, water, and a viable ecosystem is available for future generations.

Indivisible Roseburg is a grassroots organization focused on opposing legislation or legislators that seek to diminish individual rights to a healthy lifestyle, the right to love whomever you choose, fair and equal access to healthcare, employment, education, and family planning. America was founded on a set of ideas, shared by individuals of different backgrounds, and our future success as a nation is directly related to our unified pursuit of freedom, liberty, and justice for all.

MISSION STATEMENT

Indivisible Roseburg is a group of concerned citizens in the greater Roseburg area. We are organized to stand up for fair immigration policies, health care, woman’s issues, environmental protections, and many of our basic rights. We focus on our federal representatives and the policies they can affect.

PRINCIPLES

  1. Remake our democracy. We recognize our democracy was rigged from the start in favor of the white and wealthy. We actively work to realize a shared vision of real democracy — expanding voting rights and election security measures to promote a government of, by, and for the people.

  2. Embrace progressive values. We model inclusion, respect, and fairness in all of our actions.

  3. Coordinate and collaborate. We partner with other Indivisible groups on advocacy, elections, and national Indivisible campaigns.

  4. Build a strong and strategic movement. We focus our efforts to maximize our impact, winning progressive policy victories and taking power at the local, state, and federal levels.

  5. Economic justice: our goal is to create an economy that supports everyone, corrects racial injustices, and prioritizes workers over shareholders.

  6. Climate justice: we value stopping the impacts of climate change as much as building up and investing in vibrant and healthy communities.

  7. Health care: we believe health care is a right that should be universal, equitable, affordable, and culturally competent.

  8. Immigrant justice: our immigration system has long been broken and only got worse under Trump. We’re applying pressure on our elected officials to enact immigration reform that prioritizes inclusion, anti-racism, family unity, and humanitarian protection.
