Good Trouble Across Oregon! Stand on Every Corner, Cover Every Overpass.
Good Trouble Lives On is a national day of nonviolent action to respond to the attacks posed on our civil and human rights by the Trump administration and to remind them that in America, the power lies with WE THE PEOPLE!

Indivisible groups from throughout Oregon are planning a variety of events for this national day of action in recognition of the Late Great John Lewis, focusing on protecting democracy, voting rights, and civil rights.
Yes it's a Thursday, and yes, it'll be hard to match the turnout of the No Kings Day rallies, but that's not actually the point. July 17 was chosen because it's the anniversary of John Lewis's death and we want to honor his memory with good messages, rather than huge numbers. At our June 18 COIN meeting, we discussed the idea of trying to cover every overpass that we possibly can that day, with banners or large signs over busy freeways and roads - a People's billboard campaign! We can also stand on every corner, with smaller and more spread out rallies in our neighborhoods and local public places. Other suggestions included allies at local post offices and libraries, turning fascism into lemonade, vigils, and burma shave sign sets along busy roads.

Our statewide gathering in June was a fantastic success, thanks to a great organizing team and all you who attended or presented. And a huge thanks to Indivisible for providing a generous grant to help us host the event in Salem, Oregon. Here's link to the program so you can see the variety of content, and below are a few random photos taken by Dasja Dolen during the event.
Representatives from more than 20 Indivisible groups across Oregon joined for training in leadership development, grassroots organizing, de-escalation for events, putting our constituent power to work, digital security, bridging the Red-Blue divide, lessons from the Truth Brigade, Politics and Pizza, music and self-care, and our final session - Q&A with Leah Greenberg, Co-founder and Co-executive Director of Indivisible. The COINvention was held at a fun venue - The Willamette Heritage Center.
Resistance Doll-making was a popular session!
